Her prenatal classes and appointments helped my husband and me feel so prepared as first-time parents. I'm quite the researcher, and I thought that I had considered just about everything related to birth/newborn life. Still, Lucie brought up so many topics that I hadn't considered, and I was so grateful to learn from her.
During labor, her support was invaluable. I don’t think I could have made it through without her. She has such a confident and calming presence, and I felt so encouraged and supported by her the entire time. I know my husband felt so much relief in having her as well.
Her birth photography is so beautiful. I never once noticed her pick up the camera during labor, and yet I was delivered an album of over 100 beautiful photos from birth that brought me to tears in the best of ways.
Postpartum, Lucie was truly above and beyond. She made extra trips to my home and delivered supplies to help me in my healing. I've received baby-wearing tutorials from her and regular check-ins beyond what was required/expected via our contract.
Birth work is a calling, and Lucie certainly was made for it. She has become a dear friend at this point. I am so thankful to have met her!”

I am appreciative of her willingness to use technologies such as facetime, besides just an old fashioned phone on multiple occasions. I would like to point out her readily available consultations and other personalized support methods that I used. This kind of online material is something I personally liked using even before this and it was refreshing to see that she provided a similar format, which I happily utilized.
Besides the fact that she clued me into the legal patient/client problems to expect while giving birth (which I find very important if you are giving birth at a hospital or birthing center) I was reassured that if I was unclear about anything else I could reach out to her. We even spoke during my labor. I felt (and still feel) as if I have known her forever. I place great value in her guidance during my labor and besides my husband, who was physically present as support, she was instrumental here too.
She helped me prepare the birthing plan for myself and the baby, answered all of my questions supporting them with her resources which I could study deeper on my own at a later date. I appreciated her not being afraid to share her own opinion and angle. She always left it up to me to decide. Being informed and knowledgeable during my pregnancy with her help was one of the best decisions I had made.

“Our first baby - son Martin was born on December 6th,2015. I cannot imagine the whole birth experience without Lucie next to my side. Despite of hundreds of miles between us Lucie was leading me through every moment of my pregnancy. I could ask her anything and she would always gladly help, calmed me down during unsure times and encouraged me. She was always interested how is the little doing in my tummy and also how am I doing. When I started panicking that the baby was breech, she provided exercises and information how to help him get into head down position. The exercises worked! At 34th week my baby boy was in the right position. I am incredibly thankful Lucie for her help with that.
Finally she flew to the Czech Republic to be at the birth. She was a great support not only for me but also for my husband who was unsure how he will manage the whole birth situation. But thanks to her everything was without problems.
Lucie was helping me to manage very hard contractions and bad back labor that I had. She knew how and where to massage. She was taking care of my comfort, helping me in and out of the shower, giving me strength, cheering for me, and she was just 100% focused on everyone's good experience. And it definitely was. Thanks to Lucie I have the best memories for my first birth. She also documented everything and took beautiful pictures during the birth and after as well as maternity photos. I would definitely want her to be my doula with my next baby!”
